Aamir Khan has been roped in for third time in a movie with cricket as a theme.

Initially it was Awaal Number directed by Dev Anand in 1990 when Aamir was in the initial stages of his career. It was probably the first movie with Cricket as a theme followed by Asutosh Gowariker’s Lagaan. While Awaal Number dealt on the human aspects apart from just the game like jealousy, passion, love apart from sporting spirit. Later came Lagaan, which went all the way to the Academy awards. Aamir Khan has shown yet another gesture of being a true citizen by agreeing to promote tourism in India which has taken a serious hit due to recession and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

He has agreed to do two TV commercials for the Ministry of Tourism to create social awareness among general public. The TV commercials will be aired from today (21st Jan 09).
