8×10 Tasveer, the murder mystery suspense with supernatural background got entangled with another super power. It was the Super Cassettes Industries Limited (T-Series).
Percept Pictures and T-series were to Co-produce the film and on the way, T-Series wanted to withdraw at certain terms. One of them was a payment by Percept Pictures at a stipulated time.
The payment amounting to Rs 6.67Cr was not a small sum and like everybody else, Percept also got into trouble synchronizing the inflow and outflow.
The result, the cheque bounced, forcing the entire industry to murmur about the fate of release of the movie which fortunately secured its release date one day before that of the proposed strike by the producers and distributors against the stand taken by Multiplex owners.
However, much to the relief of Akshay’s fans, the money got transferred in the form of DD to T-Series.
So, the fans who are now tired of seeing Akshay as a comedian can heave a sigh of relief to see him in some action oriented scenes.
