One can be a fan, but that cannot be mixed with the profession. So, when Amitabh Bachchan was anchoring the famous show Kaun Banega Crorepati he not only churned out one Crorepati from the participants, but also made himself fifty times better than the top prize.

As Amitabh Bachchan was already suffering from high tax liabilities, he approached the High Court to sanction him I-T exemption, probably with the help of some rules favouring his claim.

This convinced the judge and in an emotional verdict, the tax relief was granted under section 80RR.

But, in a war of expertise, how a judge can be better when compared to any I-T official. Yes, thus, there is a counter filed by the I-T department challenging the order citing the very rules existing in the rule books.

They now say that such exemptions do exist, but only for such money earned by performing overseas or for such payments received from firms registered abroad and certainly not for an earning for a performance in his courtyard.

Therefore, a Supreme Court Bench chaired by Justice S.S.Kapadia issued a notice to Big B to appear for final hearing on Oct 28th.

Well! Nothing is yours till you officially own it and agreed by I-T dept.
