The master who tasted success of his film Ghajini purely due to marketing strategies, has now started his gimmicks for his new project 3 Idiots.
Aamir, the master, is ensuring the presence of his name and the movie’s name “3idiots” in every day’s news by some means or the other. Right from his discussions, reaching Bangalore, his vacations, interaction with IAS cadets in Panchgani, attending the wedding of his hairstylist, the shooting in Mumbai educational institution and many more where the name 3 Idiots invariably figured.
The Wednesday night in P.A.Mhatre ground, Juhu, Mumbai, Aamir Khan called for a cricket tournament mainly consisting of the unit members of the 3Idiots team. Aamir, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Mona Singh, Parikshit Sahani and director Raju Hirani were the prominent faces apart from other unit members of the movie. Among the great expectations, the fans were unhappy to see the absence of Kareena Kapoor.
But, there was another Khiladi who was present either by chance or by any other means, but he appeared to be enjoying the limited over game immensely till the end. He, Akshay Kumar, even joined one of the teams, certainly not that of Aamir’s.
The producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, wanted to ensure full glare of the event and hence sanctioned designer T Shirts as well as certain professional’s assistance to the game. So, there were rules and regulations to these 20 over matches with trophies like Idiots forever, Pukka Idiot, Most Idiotic Batsman for the winning team, Almost most idiotic Batsman for the runners etc.,
Teams also were named as Fools, Duffers, Stupids, Dumbos. The Duffers led by Aamir won the title with Stupids led by Rajkumar Hiran1 were the runners up.
