Asin Thottumkal is pretty famous in the south having done few films in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages. But the actress became worldwide familiar with her sensational Bollywood film ‘Ghajini’.
In the recent 54th Idea Filmfare Awards, Asin was awarded as the Best Female Debut of the year. But the actress felt a little weird to be the recipient of debutant award for the same film ‘Ghajini’, for which she got the ‘Best Actress Award’ in South Filmfare Awards although she admits that ‘Ghajini’ is her first film in Bollywood.
“I’ve a special passion for cinema, be it south or Bollywood. I had a great pleasure at the grand Filmfare Awards ceremony. I’ve come here to stay for long, hence am not going to leave Bollywood so soon. That doesn’t mean I will give less priority to southern cinema. Be it south or north, my preference of choice would be for an interesting script”, said the wannabe Asin.
