Love Aaj Kal released across 1800 plus screens worldwide on 31st July 2009 with one of the highest number of daily shows across multiplexes. Love Aaj Kal has done exceedingly well in multiplex cinemas as compared to single screens whereas in the case of Kambakkht Ishq it was the single screens that brought in more audiences after the initial opening. As a feel good romance with some spectacular music, Love Aaj Kal has done exceedingly well overseas comparable or higher than some of the biggest blockbuster of recent times.

The role played by Reema Sen in Telugu film ‘Chitram’ is said to have played by Sheena Shahabai (daughter of yesteryear actress Sadhana Singh) in ‘Teree Sang’. The movie also stars Satish Kaushik, Rajat Kapoor, Ruslaan Mumtaz, Neena Gupta and Susmitha Mukherjee and is slated for release on August 7th.

‘Chitram’ which created a star in Uday Kiran and Reema Sen as well, dealt with teen pregnancy. Now Kaushik defense his action sighting numerous examples of films dealing with teen pregnancy and that ‘Chitram’ was not alone. He however appears to have denied copying of any scenes and has decided to challenge through his lawyers.

This has practically come true looking at the number of projects that he’s got lined up! What more, four of them are scheduled to be released this year!!!

The first in line of what may seem to be a blockbuster is Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Kaminey’ followed by Yash Raj’s ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’. In this movie, Shahid plays everyone’s favorite, a lover boy, alongside Rani Mukherjee, in a film that promises to be a good family entertainer. Subsequently, it is ‘Yahoo’, Ken Ghosh’s film which also starts the bubbly actress from ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, Genelia D’ Souza. This movie emphasizes on dance, for which Justin Timberlake’s choreographer was hired to help Shahid with his already amazing dance skills. Though this film probably might not come out this year, it is still one of the most anticipated movies so far. Well, before the curtains close, Shahid does a special appearance in Ahmed Khan’s ‘Paatshala’ in which he is a music teacher.

Well good luck to Shahid with all of his movies and hope he brings some magic to the box-office like our recent hits ‘New York’ and ‘Kambakkht Ishq’!!

Both of them had gifted each other their attires for the evening. While Sania sported a diamond studded gold-laced pink ghagra choli designed by Shantanu Nikhil which reportedly cost around 20 lakhs, Sohrab was dressed in a white Armani suit, with a diamond broach.

A black BMW announced the arrival of the bride-to-be to this lavish event, which saw Sania and Sohrab cut a specially made 10 kg cake from Bakers Inn to celebrate their engagement. The event was attended by 350 guests most of whom were family friends and VIPs such as badminton star Pullela Gopichand and Union Minister D Purandhareswari.

The event also witnessed the presence of a large number of security guards who were employed in huge numbers to keep out the media and make sure that all went well for Sania on her special day.

The wedding is scheduled to take place sometime next year and until then, Sohrab will pursue an MBA in England and Sania will continue with her game!
