Ayesha Takia turned Ayesha Azmi after her nikah with Farhan Azmi on March 1st

One of the Bollywood’s sexiest heroines, Ayesha Takia, entered into wedlock on Sunday, 1st March, 2009. She married her long time boy-friend Farhan Azmi, a restaurant owner and the son of Samajwadi Party leader, Abu Azmi. The Nikah was performed on Sunday at 9:30 pm at Koyla, a restaurant in Colaba owned by Farhan.

Ayesha, whom we generally see in western outfits, looked gorgeous in her traditional wedding dress with her head covered with a dupatta. Ayesha Takia will now adopt her husband’s second name and henceforth she will be addressed as Ayesha Azmi.

Ayesha’s mother, Faridah, was too happy about her daughter’s nikah, therefore shared few words with media. “There wouldn’t be any change in her life-style even after her wedding. Ayesha will continue to wear the western outfits as she finds it more comfortable. I’m happy that she chose Farhan. We all liked him during the first meet and we treat him like our own son”.

On questioning about her continuity in films, Faridah said, “It’s too early for her to retire from films. She has just started and has a long way to go”.

But this bubbly actress who earned lot of fans in a short span of time is sure to disappoint many young hearts with her wedding news.
