Akshay will not be present at IIFA awards function

The ever active Akshay Kumar who normally jumps at first ever chance to perform has now displayed a different attitude.

He has decided not to perform at the 10th International Indian Film Academy awards in Macau on June 13th. The reason, his family!

Infact, he also turned down a special invitation by the IIFA to attend the function with complete family.

Coinciding with his son Aarav’s holidays, Akshay planned a month long family vacation and is now hell bent in not making any changes and hurting his son’s sentiments. So, there is no way he can be convinced to change the way even if it is IIFA organizers.

Akshay Kumar was seen walking red carpets all around the world for his super flop Chandni Chowk to China. But, nothing would tire this young Khiladi who has now set his plans in place to promote his new venture.

So, he has set on yet another round of red carpets. This time for his fllm Kambakth Ishq with his lead Kareena Kapoor.

The first red carpet walk for this film will be at Cannes Film Festival on May the 13th. First Blood man, Sylvester Stallone, who was seen in a guest appearance, would join them at the event to add spice. Surprisingly, the other two Hollywood stars, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards, who are also part of the film, have decided to keep away.

Akshay and Sanjay make a mark in Bahamas

In a rare gesture to Indians, the Bahamas diving centre has honoured the team of Blue by giving them a place beside the likes of Daniel Craig, Johnny Depp etc.

We are aware, Anthony D’Souza has been shooting for his film Blue. We have been hearing about the heroics of the heroes Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and others in this film wherein they had displayed extreme courage to shoot many underwater scenes with sharks around.

This waterfront at Stuartcove, Bahamas has a tradition. It honours notable characters by hanging their photos in the main hall. Some names in this list from Hollywood include, Johnny Depp, Sean Connery, Daniel Craig and sportsman like Tiger Woods etc.

In this famous list, we can now include Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Zayed Khan whose photos also are hung in this hall. Apparently this happens to be the first ever occasion, an Indian’s name figures in this list.

A good gesture indeed! This also shows the prominence the Indian stars achieve now a days and how well they are recognized in International spots.

Akshay in Tom’s bike

Akshay Kumar who is wanted by Mumbai Police, is now in Los Angeles, thanks to Kambakht Ishq. Sajid Nadiadwala’s this movie has our Khiladi as a stuntman in Hollywood.

His lady love Kareena Kapoor by his side, Akshay seems to be leaving no stone unturned in proving to the best in his stunt scenes. What else do one expects from a superhero who has given back to back flops.

To add spice to the process and with publicity in mind, Sajid has pulled a chance to link Tom Cruise with Kambakht Ishq.

Since the film and Akshay’s role involved as many scenes with Motor Bike, Sajid did some thinking and secured the use of a bike that did amazing stunts in Hollywood flick Mission Impossible. Not content with that machine, he also brought its master. So, he also booked the stunt director of Mission Impossible, Franco Solomon.

So, a bike lover himself, Akshay must be feeling a dream come true when he rode the bike used by Tom Cruise.

Twinkle’s arrested, Akshay waiting

Twinkle Khanna who showed her courage in a fashion show by unbuttoning the pants of Akshay in public, smelt some trouble if she did not stick to legal route.

The moral police in the form of Anil Nair, filed a complaint alleging obscenity following which there was an arrest warrant for the couple.

Twinkle promptly surrendered before the police on Thursday and was arrested. She had a lawyer ready to tget her bail. Rs 950 was the amount of bail.

Akshay also is in the queue and may be arrested anytime.
