Love Aaj Kal sees Kareena’s otherside

If Saif Ali Khan becomes a producer, it is only fair to assume that his real-life sweet-heart Kareena Kapoor would star in it. But when his latest movie Love Aaj Kal which he also produced starred Deepika Padukone instead, it did manage to raise many eyebrows!!

However, Saif repeatedly assured us that Deepika was a perfect match for the script which was why director Imtiaz Ali decided to cast her. Saif truly believed in staying out of the director’s way, which he did!

But Kareena is not altogether out of the movie! Her impressive understanding about acting and also the fact that her family has been in the film business since generations has put her as an advantage. She had suggested many improvements for the film which have been implemented in Love Aaj Kal!!

This eagerly awaited movie is set to hit the box-office at the end of this month.

Ever since Priyanka Chopra has won the IIFA award for best actress, and is earning Rs. 3 crore for the Yashraj film Pyaar Impossible, she is starting to make high demands. Apparently, she has demand an astonishing Rs. 5 crore for Sanjay Gandhvi’s next 7 Days In Paris!! This colossal fee that she demanded has left Sanjay baffled.

Though Katrina Kaif was the first choice for the role, but it didn’t work out because her role was edited to a great extent due to some of the “creative” suggestions made by co-star Imran Khan, who is already signed for the film. So, Katrina refused the part but recently, in a press meet, she revealed that the script was still being done and that she would consider it once it was done.

But Gandhvi doesn’t seem to find a perfect match for the role. Rumor has it that he is even considering Asin or even Genilia D’Souza for it. Hope Gandhvi finally makes up his mind on Imran’s leading lady!

Yash Raj’s TV show Rishta.com to have Star Couples

Yash Raj enters the small screen!!! And true to its name and status, it won’t do without a grand entry of course!! It debuts with a show about matrimony called Rishta.com, which is weighed down by its star cast.

Going by the rumors, this show by the YRF, will witness many star appearances by all the stars who have worked with YRF in their years in Bollywood. Those who will be joining hands for the tv debut are believed to be Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Tabu, Preity Zinta, Riteish Deshmukh, Uday Chopra and Jugal Hansraj who will appear only in cameo roles.

A matrimony office, where couples meet and find their soul-mates is what the show is all about. This just might be the program for our Bollywood’s sensational couples to spill the beans on their love stories!!!!

Frieda Pinto continues to raid the world with movies with Woody Allen and Julian Schnabel in her pocket!!!! This is what an Oscar winning movie such as Slumdog Millionaire can make out of a person who appears on-screen for barely a few minutes!!

Well, using this to her advantage has made her an international star who is now on par with our internationally acclaimed desi stars!! We know Aishwarya Rai to represent many international brands. But now, Frieda is also being signed on by the same brand which is represented by Sonam Kapoor in India

These are just reports but if it is true, then Frieda will be walking the red-carpet rubbing shoulders with Aishwarya. Mrs. Rai Bachchan, apparently didn’t take the news that Sonam will be representing her in India very well. Well, all we now have to say is Good Luck Frieda that is from being saved from Ash’s rage on hearing this of course!!!

Sonam Kapoor, who has taken Aishwarya Rai Bachchan head on, has now added one more feather to her cap to further strengthen her stand that she is anytime a better bet than the other as a face of, if not the world, but Asia.

Well, in glam world, nothing happens without contacts and pulling right things at right time. Thus, the girl who was ridiculed at Cannes by Aishwarya and could not get the support from the authorities who promised her the walk on red carpet, Sonam got a gift in the form of an invite by Hollywood Reporter. Right strings at right place ensured the birthday girl who turned 24 yesterday, getting named in an article about “the next generation of leaders in the rapidly evolving Asian entertainment sector”.

What else will one think about a person who has so far not made a valuable contribution in both the films she figured? There is no qualification apart from being daughter of a famous film personality who also does not have a market now.

Without any acting capability and without any great achievements apart from being a deputy to Sanjay Bhansali in directing ‘Black’, what is there to her credit today? A spat with Aishwarya so that she gets noticed?

A face in L’Oreal does not merely mean a leader of next generation. One has to spend time to read her interview to realise something that may probably lie hidden from public eyes as her achievement.

Her comments that she would be choosy when an offer arrives from Hollywood speak volumes of her overconfidence on her talents as well as the dearth of heroines in Hollywood.

Who knows, she may turn out to be yet another Freida Pinto who made it big after her stint in Slumdog Millionaire without figuring actually in any Bollywood movies.
