Friday the 13th may be bad omen for Americans, but not for SRK. His new movie Billu Barber which is a remake of Malayalam version Katha parayumbol and Tamil version Kuselan is in the final stages and the date for worldwide release is fixed as Feb the 13th. It is a Friday and the date is 13th. While Friday is normally taken as an auspicious day in India, the date 13th is not preferred by many in the world. It of course does not matter for ever optimistic Shah Rukh who already postponed its release once.

While the Malayalam version was a box office hit, the Tamil version flopped miserably forcing Rajnikanth to return all the money exchanged in its business. We have to see how Billu Barber shines in today’s troubled waters.

SRK’s close associate Farhan Khan is part of the film and his OSO’s female lead Deepika Padukone is again finding place in Billu Barber. Irfan Khan and Lara Dutta do major part of the film while Shah Rukh Khan plays himself supported by female partners Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor. It is also rumoured that these actresses did their roles without charging any penny. Much elated Deepika wholeheartedly conveyed her gratitude to Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Khan for fetching her a place in Bollywood and added about her comfort in working with SRK anytime. Directed by Priyadarshan, this movie will have Manish Malhotra’s designs as a special attraction.
