Mahesh Bhatt who recently won a case against ban on smoking in the films has launched on another subject.
This time he has decided to support the crusade of Kamaal Khan.
In a press conference on Sunday, he openly critised the Maharashtra State Government for not facilitating the release of “Desh Drohi” even after the court order.
The film Desh Drohi by Kamaal Khan is based on Anti North Indian sentiments and Marastra Navnirman Sena objected to the release of the film. But recently the court cleared the screening of the film, whereas the Maharastra Govt had objections to the same citing Law and Order problems.
He pointed out that the Govt’s claim that the release of the film would create law and order problems in the state was far fetched and said that the Govt was failing to honour the constitution by defying the court order. He also questioned the credibility of the Chief Minister in not taking a proper action.
He called upon the entire public to voice their opinion against non-screening of Deshdrohi and invited everyone to join the battle of Kamaal Khan.
