Kamal Rashid Khan took a subject of controversy in Maharastra and the Maharastra Navanirman Sena (MNS) did the best publicity free of cost. The subject was Anti North Indian sentiments in Maharastra which led to thousands of poor workers losing their jobs and the taxi drivers being subjected to physical harassments. Kamal dealt with this subject and released a small budget movie titled Deshdrohi which was promptly banned in Maharastra thus gaining much needed publicity.

The taste of success has now given enough confidence to Kamal Khan to come out with a sequel Deshdrohi 2 with 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attack as the central theme.

This movie was launched recently at a function organized at J W Marriot hotel in Mumbai for which the chief guest was the Home Minister Shriprakash Jaiswal. The flim maker who recently voiced concern over different issues like ban on cigarette smoking in films as well as other disturbing facts in the industry gave the clap and directed the Muharat shot.

The prominent faces in the movie are Siddarth Koirala, brother of Manisha Koirala, Aslam Khan, Urvasi and Mona Thiba Jyoti. The lyrics are by Sameer.

This movie directed by Sanjay Jha has Kamal Khan in the lead role playing ATS officer.

This movie is expected to expose the exploitation of politicians and the lethargic approach by the authorities in providing security and civic facilities.
