Neha Dhupia, the former Miss India 2002, was prominently seen in Garam Masala. She later became more of a special appearance and supporting role type as seen in Heyy Babyy and Singh Is Kinng. As days passed by, most recently she was in the news for an item song in Kabhi Pyaar Na Karna.

With such a scarcity of lead roles, as she was probably wondering about the future, contemplating return to TV media in India meant death sentence for her in Silver screen. She thus waited and decided to do something different far away from home town so that her filmi image is intact.

So, the recent news is that Neha Dhupia has been roped in by a leading TV Channel in the US to do a serial titled “Bollywood Hero”.

This series is about an aspiring actor who wants to make it big in Bollywood and Neha is his lady love. The hero is an American Comedian, Chris Kattan, who shot to fame with is role in “Saturday Night Life”.

Neha’s friendship with the line producer of Slumdog Millionaire. Tabrez Noorani appears to have played a vital role in bagging this TV contract for Neha.

Anyway, anything is ok as long as it is far away from home.
