We are aware that the people of Nepal including its Govt are irked with the wrong remark about Buddha in Chandni Chowk to China. Though the remark was removed after the objection by the censor board, Nepal, the very fact of one such incidence resulted in unrest and boycott of the movie all through Nepall, bringing in trouble to already troubled picture.

So, Rohan Sippy, who has been the architect of this film and also the controversy, has now come out openly tendering an apology for the incidence. In a statement he clarifies “ The statement on Buddha in Chandni Chowk To China has been deemed false and the same was not with an intention to hurt the sentiments of the people of Nepal or for that mater anyone else in the world. It is an error and we tender our unconditional apology for any ill feelings caused due to this error”.

This must probably serve as a lesson to the film makers in future.
