Dilwale Dulhaniya Le jayange was the first film of Parmeet as a director. He is now ready with another script, a romantic family drama and was searching for a proper lead. As he based his script on Punjab background, the “jab we met” hero became the automatic choice. So, Shahid Kapoor is being roped in as male lead for this film and the female lead appears to be the lady with exclusive contract with Chopra house, Anushka Sharma.

Having already acted in “Hadippa” with Yash Raj, Shahid will be doing this second project and thus becomes a favourite for Chopra camp.
