Slumdog Millionaire Marching Towards Crown in Oscars

Golden Globes winner and multiple bafta nominations fame ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ is on the war path to make yet another history. Today the Oscar winning actor Forest Whitaker announced that the academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater, the categories under which the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ have been nominated.

Best adapted screenplay (Simon Beaufoy), best original score (AR Rahman), best song (one each for Jai Ho and O Saya), best sound mixing (Resul Pookutty), best sound editing (Resul Pookutty), best director (Danny Boyle), this apart, it is also nominated for best picture, best editing and best cinematography.

Danny Boyle thanked the people of Mumbai city and said that the city was so wonderful and felt elated to see 10 nominations in Oscars.
