While we are not seeing her on a movie signing spree, we are able to see more of her in advertisements, the recent one being that of Mirinda which seems to have been well received by the Public. She is already active in Fairever and in the process of doing one for Tata Sky with Aamir.

Now, she joins hands with Indian Cricket captain M.S.Dhoni for an ad promoting Big Bazzar. The supermarket chain, Big Bazaar is a subsidiary of Pantaloon Retail India Ltd and is known for providing goods at affordable prices for middle class public.

Asin and Dhoni are considered as today’s youth icons and acceptable by people of all ages. Their promotion would certainly reach the product to nook and corner of India.

The long movie in Lagaan pattern also needed pretty long period close to 3 years to get completed. The tussle between multiplex owners and producers reaching a climax from day after tomorrow, this release of Asin’s dubbed film on Friday is sure a feast for her fans who are worried about her slow but steady approach in Bollywood.

Asin’s or her father’s counter claim was that Muthu Kumar was demanding more money for his services as well as wanting his un-concerned bills to be paid by them. On their refusal, Muthu Kumar became furious and threatened them and in a way black mailing them for parting with some money.

As the episode took ugly turn, he staged his own missing drama and took shelter somewhere in Puttaparthi, the Sai Baba’s place in Andhra Pradesh and made his mother raise a hue and cry.

So, now the Andhra and Tamil Nadu police have brought this case to a logical end by tracing him to Puttaparthi. Muthu Kumar now gives the reason for hiding as his sheer fear of getting arrested.

There is also a complaint by his mother Vadivu that her son Kumar went missing due to ill treatment by Asin and family. Whereas Asin defended her stand and the reports confirm Asin saying that Kumar, after being sacked started demanding huge sum against pending bills that were not related to her.

Now, a special police team has been flown to Mumbai on the insistence of his mother, Vadivu.

The police in Chennai feel that the issue is being blown out of proportion by the press.

She was barred from contacting the press during the shoot of Ghajini and having learnt the lesson, she refused to sign similar contract for London Dreams.

Now, there is yet another compulsion she and her father are fighting against. It is a contract to do more than one movie.

Madhu Montena, the co-producer of Ghajini claims that he has a contract with Asin for doing three movies, But the voiciferous father of Asin, Joseph Thottumkal, shoots back as “We do not accept such contracts. There are many producers who insist on such contracts, some leading even to four films, but we denied all such offers. We do not prefer to be tied down by any such compulsions. Ghajini is now finished and there is no other bond with the producer.”

Asin, who shot to top slot with her role in Ghajini signed only one film in Bollywood and did not seem to be going too fast with her kind of slow and steady approach. She seems to have denied the offer to do Priyadarshan’s “De Dana Dhan” on her own measurements and it was different when it came to Vipul Shah’s London Dreams. So, what is Asin or for that matter her father, Joseph are after?

Well! If it was Mumbai for Asin, it is New York for the recent sensation, Freida Pinto, who was in the news for dumping her husband after her success in Slumdog Millionaire.

She was seen recently quoting about New York as a place something similar to Mumbai, but in a bit better organized manner. Impressed with people walking in one direction and focused on the roads, she says that her personal experience in New York would not make her miss Mumbai in anyway.

Well! The lady from Goa feels that she can confidently make it remarkable in Hollywood and thanked Slumdog profusely for showcasing her acting talents. She hopes that people do not see her as a beautiful model, but as a capable actress.

Coming back to Asin, surprisingly, she landed back in Kerala in the name of martial arts training for her Tamil movie and it is said to be months before she would really make it back to Mumbai with no further news on new Bollywood projects, much to the relief of the local talents.
