This is Akshay Kumar’s biggest flop ever in his recent past films. Many including the critics wrote away that Deepika is unlucky to Akshay. But she defends herself by saying that her work in the film was appreciated by many even though the film is a failure. “I’ve put in lot of efforts for this film and have learnt a lot to improve myself”, says Deepika who thinks practical.

Now her next film with Saif Ali Khan and Imtiaz Ali is progressing briskly. Deepika plays today’s girl from traditional background who deals with relationships. Let’s hope this film will give some boost to Deepika.

Akshay, known for his dare devil acts received a good response for his TV reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi which also showcased many celebrities as participants.

With this success, the Endemol India has come out with the second season which will be called “Fear Factor-Khatron Ke Khiladi- Level 2″. This show is expected to be having higher degree of fear factor and some more fun.

While this season also will accommodate more daring celebrities, the audition will take place in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkatta, Lucknow and Ahmedabad.

As usual, Akshay will have his full quota of fun and thrill to offer to his fans.

So, Rohan Sippy, who has been the architect of this film and also the controversy, has now come out openly tendering an apology for the incidence. In a statement he clarifies “ The statement on Buddha in Chandni Chowk To China has been deemed false and the same was not with an intention to hurt the sentiments of the people of Nepal or for that mater anyone else in the world. It is an error and we tender our unconditional apology for any ill feelings caused due to this error”.

This must probably serve as a lesson to the film makers in future.

It is clear that many in India do not know the right answer and so was Akshay and the unit members of Chandni Chowk To China.

On viewing the scene where Akshay’s introduction as someone born in India, the Buddha’s birthplace, the censor board of Nepal objected to it. Thus the distributors ensured deletion of that content before screening in Nepal. But, the message spread across the country and the locals, particularly the students have taken serious objection to it. They stormed the theaters and also tore down the posters everywhere.

They claim that the entire world knows as Buddha was born as Prince Siddharth in Lumbini in South Nepal in 623 BC. The Maya Devi Temple in the name of Buddha’s mother Maya Devi, is built at Lumbini and thousands of pilgrims throng that place every year from all over the world. This being the case, they were surprised and seriously objected to the claims of CC2C.

Anticipating severe damages as they faced in the past in connection with Hrithik Roshan;s incidence, the theater owners decided to take off the movie from the theaters.

So, for the CC2C that did not find its foothold in India, the virtual ban in Nepal may not matter much. Atleast, it has taught them the history

The entire industry is surprised and shocked to see the failure of the big budget film from a big banner as the movie is commanding only 30% collections. With the number of shows being drastically reduced in the theatres, this movie is also not a favorite among his large segment of fans, kids.

Warner Bros also must be wondering to see this disaster inspite of having the best in the industry Akshay and talk of the town Deepika Padukone and the favourite subject, Kung Fu.

The movie is being seen as a combination of Drona 2, Tashan and Love Story 2050. The viewers who could not stand the entire length of the film are very sarcastic about the film pointing towards absence of script and action thereby leading it to a disaster.

Is it a long way for Akshay, who became the highest advance tax payer in Bollywood, to beat the ever growing fame of Khan Empire?

As per the details given by one Mr.Sandeep Bhargava of Indian Films, to the press, the movie Ghajini was run in almost 650 paid previews and the response was so tremendous that the theatre owners were demanding more of it. The next day being Christmas, the movie was shown in previews a day/night before and the sources claim that the revenue generated from the tickets ranging from Rs 300 to Rs 600 was very encouraging.

Extending the same formula, now the Chandni Chowk To China also has utilized the holidays due to Makar Sankranti and Pongal and lined up previews on 60 screens in 24 locations. This programme is expected to fetch the producers about Rs 7 to 10 Cr in just a day if things go well.

So, the production, direction and acting become just one element of the movie industry. The marketing takes front stage even for the movies by leading actor/s to make an impression in the box office. It is business. IIM graduates are keenly watching. Ghajini, which has crossed all the previously achieved targets, may become a case study soon and the movie houses may pick the IIMs offering the maximum premium.
