This is the theme, director Sanjay Gadhvi dwelt on when he decided to pair this charming couple for his next untitled project.

Sanjay sees the pair as something equivalent to that of Hrithik and Aishwarya in Dhoom 2. He expects to provide such a love story which will have this lead pair in every frame in the film and take the movie far ahead of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge,

Similarly, the glamour queen, Katrina Kaif, who plays a politician in Rajniti, did carryout personally some research on the mannerisms of the persons involved in politics including their crowd-pulling speeches, dress sense, extempore abilities and handling bright lights of ever hungry cameramen.

Prakash Jha, with certain clarity on all the above subjects seems to be her tutor. But, the irony is that the subject appears to have gone deep into Katrina’s mind.

Having understood the hidden power in the politically powerful personality, she seems to have given a kind of positive signals to join any party that might approach her rightfully at right time.

The movie having such a serious coincidence with the life of Sonia Gandhi has a fitting character to play her role in Katrina Kaif. There cannot be anyone else so apt for this role than Katrina with her fluency in Hindi with English taint.

Ranbir Kapoor plays the male lead and Naseeruddin Shah does a short role as leader of people’s movement in this film.

Katrina was longing to do one such performance oriented role, thus she became so much dedicated towards the film by almost living in the character that she is portraying in ‘Rajniti’. She says that the character is a challenging one that commands huge responsibility. However, Prakash Jha, the filmmaker is guiding her right from choosing her costumes.

Katrina said, “I feel great to work with dedicated persons like Prakash who gets involved in every department of the film. I’m playing a role that has different shades. My shooting in Bhopal involving scenes with around 500 people would take place in another couple of days”.

Katrina, who is putting so many efforts for ‘Rajniti’, could not adjust her dates for Rohit Shetty’s next film with Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt. She claims that she had to opt out of the film only due to tight schedules of ‘Rajniti’.

Now, this pair is rumored to be doing lead roles in yet another movie, but in Ajay Devagan’s home productions under the direction of Rohit Shetty.

This seems to be some kind of outcome of Ajay’s new found friendship with Salman that blossomed on the sets of “London Dreams”.
