Recently it bagged three British Awards.<span id="more-947"></span> The Attenborough British Film of the Year, British Director of the Year for Danny Boyle and the Best Screenplay Award for Simon Beaufoy. It will really be a surprise of this does not make it at the Oscars though there are top guns fighting for the most coveted award in the world.</p>

Today the Oscar winning actor Forest Whitaker announced that the academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater, the categories under which the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ have been nominated.<span id="more-625"></span></p>
<p>Best adapted screenplay (Simon Beaufoy), best original score (AR Rahman), best song (one each for Jai Ho and O Saya), best sound mixing (Resul Pookutty), best sound editing (Resul Pookutty), best director (Danny Boyle), this apart, it is also nominated for best picture, best editing and best cinematography. </p>
<p>Danny Boyle thanked the people of Mumbai city and said that the city was so wonderful and felt elated to see 10 nominations in Oscars.</p>
