It is a story about Sikandar, who lives with his uncle and aunt, who are his foster parents, in Kashmir. It follows a typical lot where a boy’s life revolves around his guardians, football, bullies and of course, Nasreen the new girl in town. All is well is ths normal family when one day, out of the blue, Sikandar picks up a gun from the ground. This gets him involved into the world of militants, power and violence.

Parzan Dastur, the cute and lovable little sardar from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai plays the lead role in this movie alongside Ayesha Kapur of Black, making her comeback as a lead. It also debuts Arunoday Singh. The other stars are R. Madhavan and Sanjay Suri, with the celebrated trio of Shankar Ehsaan-Loy, Sandesh Shandilya and Justin-Uday with the lyrics by Prasoon Joshi, Neelesh Misra and Kumaar.

Now, having become a major player by owning maximum number of silver screens in India, the organization is marching towards making a mark internationally.

So, the news is that Reliance Big Pictures will now own screens (no doubt the multiple ones) in the most happening countries, the US and Malaysia.

The matured organization already has enough deals signed with many Hollywood film makers like Red Om Films of Julia Roberts, Plant B entertainment of Brad Pitt, JC23 Entertainment of Jim Carrey, Saturn Films of Nicolas Cage, Playtone productions of Tom Hank and who knows there may be many not reported.

With this plan of acquisition of screens, Reliance is sure to change the way things happen in Hollywood.

This movie by Rakesh Roshan under his banner Filmkraft Productions (India) Private Limited recently hit the news for signing a contract with Reliance BIG Entertainment. Accordingly the Big pictures will market and distribute the picture worldwide.

The film with two Roshans in important roles also has yet another Roshan’s contribution. It is the Rajesh Roshan who is providing music. The director Anurag Basu is carving this romantic thriller.

Well! The matter is Reliance has been displaying unpredictable behaviour with different directors and artists due to its severe financial crunch. We need to wait and see how this high cost adventure between Reliance and Filmkraft shines by Diwali.

Now, the Reliance BIG Entertainment which already had seven associations with Hollywood production companies has added two more companies into its enviable partners list.

So, Red On Films of Julia Roberts and Rat Productions of Brett Ratner are the two production houses which have signed with Reliance BIG.

Reliance have now separated out a set up called Raliance Big Pictures to handle this ever growing international movie business.

It’s the long time dream of Reliance like the creation of a virtual studio and a fully integrated movie company with full facilities and expertise in production, distribution and exhibition of movies.

All the movies co-financed by Reliance will automatically qualify for its Indian distributor’s rights.

The other Hollywood productions houses in association with Reliance are Geroge Clooney’s Smokehouse Productions, 1492 Pictures owned by Chris Columbus, JC 23 Entertainment of Jim Carrey, Saturn Productions of Nicolas Cage, Playtone Productions of Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment and Jay Roach’s Everyman Pictures.

This Romantic thriller has Hrithik Roshan at the centre of the plot with female leads like Mexican Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut. This film is expected to complete its works latest by End March.

With strong arm like Reliance Big Pictures who has taken over the Indian and overseas marketing and distribution for a whopping amount of Rs 150 crores, setting new records, this movie is expected to achieve a considerable success when released during Diwali in 2009.

So, be prepared to witness yet another show of Big pictures.
