“Ek Choti si Love Story” was directed by Sashilal Nair sometime in 2002 with Manisha Koirala in lead role. Manisha’s objections to some scenes where a body double was used in certain intimate postures without her knowledge put this picture out of theaters and also Nair out of business. After a long wait, Nair wanted to recover with the help of film financier Prakash Samdasani who promised him a hefty loan of Rs 25Cr against a certain commission. Ironically it is only Nair who ended up paying Prakash to tune of 40+ Lakhs in different installments without any sign of loan. Frequent enquiries infuriated Prakash who appears to have threatened Nair. Nair’s police complaint resulted in arrest of Prakash.
