The Jodha Akbar director was taken aback when Shah Rukh turned down the lead role in his next film opposite Rani Mukherjee. Even the idea of being a co-producer of the film didn’t seem to invite the Bollywood Badhshah in.

He just seems dead stubborn about not pairing up with Ashutosh. Well good luck with Ashutosh for finding another actor who is apt for the role!

While, all were keeping away from approaching SRK, a good old friend, mustered all his guts and went to the extent of asking not only his presence, but also his car and bungalow.

It was none other than Makrand Deshpande. Makrand approached Shahrukh for his film ‘Sharukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu”. In this movie, SRK has to speak to a flower girl (a road side vendor) and tell her “Khoobsurat Hai Tu”. This incidence is shown as a turning point for the girl and her life changes for good forever.

Makrand, who earlier worked with SRK in Swades, appears to be a knowing the tricks of the trade as he kicked off the shooting of his film on the day of Shahrukh’s birthday, the Nov 2nd last year. Soon after this, he never forgot to remind SRK who was as usual busy with different commitments including the shooting of “My Name is Khan”. His shoulder injury further added to the woes. But, the patience and strong belief that the roles involving SRK would be shot ultimately paid off.

SRK was so impressed with Makrand’s theme that he permitted his Mannat and car to appear along with him in the movie.

A good gesture indeed!

While there are three famous personalities involved in the events by owning one team each, it is Shahrukh Khan who is seen as the most disturbed.

Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta were seen at all the matches of their teams and cheering to their heart. Their teams also are making enough impact with Punjab doing a better job than the champions of 1st IPL season, Rajasthan.

He was voiciferous in saying “ It is a format of the game Sunil Gavaskar never played and with due respects to him, I feel he has no right to comment on the T 20 version of the game. If at all he has to show his abilities, he must buy one team and experiment himself. We, as owners of the team, know what to do and we will do our best to bring out best from the team”.

Well! whether it is either Googly or No ball will be known by the way, Sunny handles the ball. Let us wait and see. May be he has to pick a leaf from Aamir’s personal diary.

The heavy weights like Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Govinda and Nagma are the names he seems to have communicated as the ones who will support Congress.

While we are aware of Govinda and Nagma having association with the party, it is a bit of surprise to see the names of SRK and Preity.

The eyebrows lifted automatically with the pronunciation of names of these two particularly when the party played truant in the IPL’s second season causing severe irrevocable damages to Preity and SRK.
