As polls near, all eyes towards Slumdog Children, Sonia not an exception

For the 9 year old Rubina Ali and 10 year old Azaruddin Mohammed Ismail, this day must be a memorable one.

Keeping in tradition that the Indians do not forget (timely) those who make the country proud, it was Sonia Gandhi who expressed her desire to encourage the young children who were part of the Oscar winning, Danny Boyle’s film, Slumdog Millionaire.

Prakash Jha seems to be winning the heart of Sonia by opting for a script similar to her life history.

In his film Rajniti, the lead lady takes over the reigns after the demise of her beloved husband and attracts crowds of millions by her sensible and thought provoking speeches something similar to that of Sonia Gandhi’s background. The movie having such a serious coincidence with the life of Sonia Gandhi has a fitting character to play her role in Katrina Kaif. There cannot be anyone else so apt for this role than Katrina with her fluency in Hindi with English taint.

Ranbir Kapoor plays the male lead and Naseeruddin Shah does a short role as leader of people’s movement in this film.
