The Slumdog Millionaire has been a source of success to many. This movie seems to be now reaching different heights with the Indian political party setting its eye on that.
The song “Jai Ho” that gave A.R.Rahman a new peak in his career has now become official song for Indian National Congress.
As the general elections have been announced from 16th April to 13th May, the Congress party was in search of a proper campaign song and thus bought the rights of the Jai Ho. They intend to play this song particularly in villages and rural areas where the lyrics do play an important role giving the meaning “Let there be success”.
The opposition parties seem to be fuming over this lost opportunity.
