Yet Another First For India – UTV Bags Telecast Rights of Golden Globe Awards

It is Golden (Globe) time. It would be a lifetime dream to many to get there and savour the glimpse of the greats in the Industry who set benchmarks.

While A R Rahman accompanied by Danny Boyle and various other crew members of Slumdog Millionaire is eagerly awaiting the climax, another set of souls have achieved yet another “first” for India by bagging an exclusive satellite rights to telecast the events of Golden Globe Awards. It is not just for one year but for three years. This rare feat is achieved by the UTV Global Broadcasting Limited, the broadcasting arm of UTV Software Communications.

Probably it pays to be associated with International players. Walt Disney’s 15% stake in UTV must have had a major role to play in such achievements.

So, the live action will reach your homes sharp at 6.30 am tomorrow (12th Jan) and the again at 8 pm in the evening in repeat telecast. Be aware it is exclusive.
